We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs"), whether or not we are required to do so as an APP entity. This policy is intended to meet the content requirements of APP 1.4.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers may store or process personal information outside Australia. Depending on the provider, this may include countries such as the United States and other locations where those providers operate data centres.

Where we disclose personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps consistent with APP 8 to ensure the information is handled in a way that is substantially similar to the APPs, unless an exception under the Privacy Act applies (for example, where you consent, or the disclosure is required or authorised by Australian law).

6. Direct marketing and the Spam Act

We may send you marketing emails only with your consent or as otherwise permitted by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Privacy Act. Every marketing email will include a simple unsubscribe option. Transactional messages about your account, security, or billing are not marketing.

We may need to verify your identity before providing access. In limited cases permitted by the Privacy Act, we may refuse a request and will tell you why (unless it is unreasonable to do so) and how to complain.

8. Retention and deletion

We keep account, billing, and usage records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for tax, dispute, security, and legal purposes.
